I am a retired federal employee. I have experience with dementia/Alzheimer's. I was a caregiver for my mom until she had to be placed in a memory care facility. I have since cared for the mothers of two clients, both having dementia and one of them diabetic, who found me through care. com. I prepared meals, gave them daily baths, assisted with dressing, colored in books, walked, sat in screened in sunroom, medication management and insulin shots. I transported to church services, doctor appts., errands and out to eat. Our day would be directed as their mental status allowed. I also provided light housekeeping as needed. I am experienced with sundowners. My mom was especially prone to experiencing this quite often. I have a special love for those in need of daily assistance with every day life needs. I am very patient and compassionate. I would treat your loved one as if they were mine. I love pets, and I do not smoke.
