I am a former elementary school teacher and taught for almost 10 before deciding to switch careers. I wanted a job that when I was done with my day, I was done with work. And teaching is not that way unfortunately. I stayed home with my infant for three years before putting him in preschool and finding a new career path in breast cancer research. I've been working in breast cancer research for 17 years. It's such a rewarding job, as was teaching.
