About Lisa

I was a certified teacher for Pre-K through 6th grades, but enjoy tutoring kids of all ages (even in college). I have tutored students on and off for more than 15 years. I truly enjoy the one-on-one time and teach to reach each student on their level. Taking the time and attention to make sure each child learns to understanding is not always easily accomplished in a classroom setting. I especially enjoy tutoring math and making seemingly hard concepts easy for kids to understand. I can teach the same concept different ways and love when students have the "light bulb going on" moment, when they finally understand the concept being shown to them.
