My main function is patience and tact, compassion and sense of humor, excellent communication skills, ability to speak and listen to the elderly help and assist when people under my responsibility have concerns or emotional problems, appreciate and respect the fact that they are working in the home of another person, respect each individual's right to preserve their independence and privacy as much as possible, treat each person as an individual, with different physical and emotional needs, be discreet and able to relieve shame when helping patients with their personal tasks, such as washing or using the bathroom.
