About Magdalena

I have been a care-giver for most of my life, as an older sister to two younger brothers, a babysitter for family friends, and as an educator and camp instructor at the Waterfront Botanical Gardens in Louisville, Kentucky. I have cared for children and toddlers aged 3 to 15 years old in familial settings (around 2-3 children at a time) and in camp settings with groups ranging from 5 to 30 kids at a time (with additional care givers). I have cared for children with a variety of needs, who come from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and practices. I have experience teaching lesson plans in both indoor and outdoor settings and have utilized my education in landscape architecture to supplement those lessons. I value personal opportunities for children to engage in creative problem solving through nature, reading, writing and art.
