About Maggie

Hi! My name is Maggie, I recently graduated from a small liberal arts school in MA and now I'm living in NYC. I majored in political science and minored in English (my favorite author right now is Joan D.). In my free time I love to read, cook, spend time with friends, play chess, and practice tennis and skiing! I am originally from Maine and come from a family of teachers, so I have always considered pursuing teaching myself as well. In high school I volunteered at a local elementary school several days a week, assisting in a 3rd grade and 2nd grade classroom. In college I took several childhood development courses as well. For the past two summers I have worked as a nanny for the same infant (now toddler) and absolutely loved the experience. I would describe myself as fun, patient, responsible, and caring. I also volunteered at an animal shelter for a year and grew up on a small farm, so I am knowledgeable about most pets as well!
