About Maggie

During my junior year, I did the CNA program through BOCES. For months we were in and out of nursing homes everyday caring for residents. We fed, put into bed, helped with toileting/changing, & much more. I loved spending time with the residents, they'll always have a special place in my heart!!! Instead of finishing the CNA program and getting certified, I applied to a program called New Visions Honor Academy which is a program with three different classes. They have Health Careers, Teaching, and Business. I chose the Health Careers and we went to different medical offices around the county, but I was mainly placed at Arnot. We also learned skills, terminology, & studied a lot of anatomy with LECOM med students. I graduated from New Visions and high school in June of 2023. My career goals as are to become a Child Life Specialist on a pediatric unit. I love medicine and helping people is my passion. If you have any more questions, please feel free to reach out!!
