About Maggie

As a former full-time nanny, camp counselor, 5th-grade teacher, environmental educator, and HS counselor, I'm a renaissance gal. I have 10 years of experience working with kids/young adults, and it's my passion. I am goofy and fun, and have the theoretical/experience-based knowledge to understand kids' development and how to best support them. I'm really happy to take any role your family needs! I've spent over 200 hours developing curriculum/teaching elementary, middle, and HS students. I can teach any subject K-8, although with high-schoolers my specialty is within the humanities, AP-level courses, college advising, and social/emotional support. I also worked for two seasons at Overland Summers, an outdoor adventure company. As a trip leader, I took kids on hiking/biking trips around the country. I was their mom, bike mechanic, nurse, chef, cheerleader, and friend 24/7! That's my motto. I am vaccinated and boosted, and it would be my priority to keep your family safe.
