About Makenzie

Hello! My name is Makenzie- I'm a 19-year-old responsible, detail-oriented and kind BYU Junior majoring in Psychology. When I'm not in school learning all I can, I enjoy being at home with my four brothers! Growing up with three younger siblings, I'm attuned to the fun, warmth, and even the chaos that can run through a home. I've learned a great deal about caring for children of all ages, including children with disabilities. My youngest brother has Down syndrome, and I have had the privilege of watching and helping home learn and grow. Throughout his life thus far (3. 5 years), I've learned how to take care of him during all stages, from newborn to toddler. I love engaging with my brother and other kids, rather than just plopping them in front of a screen. I truly enjoy being on their level and enjoying the world from their perspective. In addition to spending time with my brothers, I enjoy music, caring for my dog, reading, watching movies, travelling, and tending to my plants!
