About Malaysia

Greetings! My name is Malaysia . I am currently a reading coach and has served as a classroom teacher in Fairfax county schools. I have 8 years of experience in education within K-6 grades. I received my bachelors of education with licenses in elementary and special education K-12. I also received my masters of education in curriculum and development and a reading specialist license in K-12. My teaching philosophy includes an explicit, systematic, and multi sensory way to teach literacy where children are actively engaged and encounter success during their learning. I am an advent supporter of the science of reading and will used skill based strategies to enhance your child's current reading skills.
