About Mary

From age 13, I have been working with children. While in college I taught 2-year-old children at KinderCare. I also worked part-time at a day care in my hometown while on college breaks (ages 0-4). In my two student internships I taught kindergarten and second grade. I graduated with a BA in Elementary Education. In the school setting I have taught fourth grade, sixth grade, kindergarten and preschool. I have earned additional ECE credits. I have taken classes with Easter Seals to remain current about issues that affect children. I have spent over 20 years working with children and absolutely love it! I bring experience from the classroom and the home. I am loving, patient, and kind. I think children are the best! I implement age-appropriate learning activities (music, drama, arts, crafts) in the home. I also work alongside families to achieve their goals for their children. I communicate well with parents and support the family structure.
