About Mary

I'm an elementary school teacher in my 24th year but I've been a caregiver to young people since I was young started taking care of babies. I began babysitting on my own by age 10. I work with students will disabilities of all ages. I have done elder care for relatives a number of times. I very much enjoy it. I'm a single mom of a teen with autism who I'm preparing to send off to college soon and it is my choice to pick up some elder care friends as a part-time work. I'd like to start with Friday evenings after I get out of school. I'm great for chit chat, companionship, organizing, inspiration, picking up and delivering groceries, supplies, etc on the way over. I've been know to be good at breaking through challenging or rigid behaviors as well. I'd love to meet your family and discuss your needs and how I can be a new friend and support to your loved one. I love dogs and have a small one but I'm very allergic to cats and cannot work in homes with them.
