About Marylou

I have four grown children, one grown granddaughter, and was a Girl Scout leader and trainer for 25 years. I love teaching children and adults, and encourage curiosity about the world around us - especially nature! I'm looking for a job that helps parents feel comfortable with entrusting their children to me. I work full time in Healdsburg, so ideally I would be helping with date night or event childcare for families. I started working with kids when I was in 6th grade, babysitting and volunteering with children with cerebral palsy. In my spare time, I like to spend time around animals, garden, read, travel and learn Italian. I am extremely diligent and cautious with the well-being of those around me. My skills include helping children to behave responsibly and appropriately, having fun no matter what we need to do, and imparting a sense of wonder and joy. I also am accomplished at the basics - keeping them safe, clean, rested and fed!
