About Mary Lynn

I am an adjunct professor of Theater Studies at Emory University and the mother of boy & girl twins who are now 26 years old. I am a dedicated teacher, and I believe in creating a rich and supportive environment for children in which they feel both safe and curious. My children were raised in a creative environment, with lots of reading, dance, theatre, music, and creative play. I have a degree in Psychology and Speech and decades of experience in a teaching capacity with children, particularly in the areas of Reading and Writing. I know how to redirect attention, stimulate curiosity, and reward the good I see. I'm patient with children, communicative with parents, and comfortable with pets. I'm kind of fun to be around too. A pretty good cook, I'm happy to start dinner and do light housekeeping. I am currently available for evening and weekend babysitting. I hope to hear from you!
