About Mary

Hello I'm Mary Jo! I'm in my second year of art teaching and I love what I do with a passion. I'm available weekend day afternoons after 3 or 4 and weekends. My priority is always to get to know my kids, laugh with them, and make them feel welcomed. I'm energetic, imaginative, and planning-oriented. I feel like a huge kid myself! I love to activate children/inner children of all ages with instruments and music, I enjoy the purity of excitement. As a middle child of 5, I've been in childcare my whole life. I love being an art teacher because I have kids of all ages. I most recently nannied for a family with a 3-year-old for a year, it was so fun! I like to keep busy and bring elements of art wherever I go. To me, art is music or reading stories just as much as it is painting/crafting. It's how it makes you feel:)! I make fun activities for kids to try new things, prep food, and make sure each child receives special attention when they need it.
