About Maya

I have been a Preschool teacher for 11 years! And now, for the past two years, I have taken on program coordinating and behaviorist responsibilities. I have taught every age from infants to school-aged children. I taught Jazz, ballet and hip-hop dance at the Nashua YMCA and have taught as a Lead Pre-K teacher at the Merrimack YMCA for 10 years now :) I love music and singing so that is a big part of my curriculum, as well as math, reading and more reading! I use an assortment of instruments, puppets and games, with role play and social studies to support my curriculum. I am known to play my guitar in song circles and facilitate creative movement or yoga exercises to encourage learning! I am hoping to offer a high level of developmentally appropriate care during nights and weekends for all ages of children. I can see in my profession that families are in need of care after childcare centers are closed! I am interested in providing some of that care for busy families :)
