About Melanie

I am a lifelong pet owner with 10+ years of experience as a pet-sitter, dog-walker, and animal shelter volunteer. I am looking to supplement my work as a tutor ideally with pet care. I love all animals, and as such I'm willing to learn to work with all pets, including exotic pets. I grew up caring for cats, dogs, rabbits, Guinea pigs, rats, and ferrets, and I'm the current pet parent of two senior cats, one of which requires daily anti-seizure medication. My past experience includes overnight house-sitting/pet-sitting for dogs, cats, and rabbits (some with complicated medical and feeding needs), boarding cats in my home (please note that I have two friendly senior cats who are safe around unfamiliar cats - sorry, no other animals - and up-to-date on their vaccinations), and daily home visits to care for multiple pets, administer medication, clean up waste, feed, play, and walk. I'm reliable, energetic, and eager to add pet care into my week as I prepare for grad school this winter!
