About Melissa

Hello! My name is Melissa. I am looking for a tutoring or a pet sitting job during the summer. I am a single mother of 2 and am available every other week. I am a 1st grade teacher in Forsyth County. Next school year will be my 16th year of teaching. I have also taught ESOL (K-5) for 7 years, Pre-K for 5 years, and 2nd grade, 3rd Grade DLI, and 4th grade for 1 year each. I have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education with Reading and ESOL endorsements. I have had experiences with both early childhood and special education classrooms in which I worked with many wonderful children! I was also a babysitter in high school for two years and babysat my nephew for a summer when he was a 1-year-old. Overall, I have had about 20 years of experience with children. I absolutely love being around kids and that is why I chose to do it for a living! I also have a great love for animals and would love to spend time helping you out with your fur babies!
