About Melissa

Hi, my name is Melissa! I have my B. A. in Child and Adolescent Development with a minor in Family Studies from CSUN (2021). I am currently enrolled to earn my M. S. in Consumer Affairs and Family Studies from CSUN this December (2024). Currently I work as an infant/toddler teacher at a daycare center. My position consists of feeding, diapering and having fun with the children. We work with the children to develop their social/emotional skills, fine and gross motor skills, cognitive development and their language development. My previous work experience consists of working as an after school program leader in an elementary school. As well as two different daycares in Santa Monica and Glendale with ages ranging from infant-5yrs. I have also been a nanny for families in the past. I enjoy working with children and decided to pursue my degree in child development, because I love being able to witness developmental milestones and enjoy seeing the world from their point of view.
