About Melissa

I have years of experience working with children of varying ages and ability levels across a wide array of settings. As the oldest in a family of five, I learned how to take care of little ones at a young age, taking my siblings and cousins to the neighborhood park by eight, and babysitting professionally by 12, I had several years of experience before graduating high school. I have been a teacher, worked as a daycare provider, and worked in after-school programs throughout my adult life. In my personal life, I have volunteered extensively with preschool groups (like head start) and youth focused groups (like boy scouts), while raising my own child solo. With the stress of standardized testing, teaching is no longer for me, but I would love to share my love of learning and fun with your family as your children grow.
