About Melonie

I studied Early Childhood Education at College of Marin in Northern California. Throughout my career spanning 28 years, I have had the pleasure of working with children of all ages, ranging from infants to sixth graders. I am a mother of four children, aged 27, 21, 16, and 3. After taking a 13-year break from work to raise my children, I resumed work as a program leader for the Before and After School Program at the Douglas County School District in Colorado. Later, I worked as an assistant preschool teacher for the Cherry Creek School District after moving to Aurora. Currently, I reside in the Glendale/Montrose region of California, where I serve as a lead teacher for a preschool in Tujunga. I was awarded the new employee of the year at this preschool. My preferred job would be part-time, giving me the flexibility to homeschool my3-year-old daughter. I would also be willing to homeschool another child of similar age. I strive to make a positive impact on every child.
