About Mia

I am currently a junior Early Childhood Education major at the University of Rhode Island studying to be a kindergarten or first grade teacher! I have 5+ years of lifeguarding experience at Springlake Swim Club in Timonium as well as 2 years of experience being the person in charge at the pool. I have gained a lot of experience working with children throughout my years working at the pool as well as created close relationships with many families. I have also been student teaching since the fall semester of my sophomore year (2023), and September 2023-December 2023 I worked in a preschool classroom with 12 children, and this semester I am in a kindergarten classroom with 20 children. In addition to my student teaching time in college, I was an intern at Pot Spring Elementary throughout the course of my senior year of high school in a second grade classroom.
