About Michael

I currently live in Chicago, IL and work as a teacher at Fusion Academy. Most recently I was a middle school Social Studies teacher in Detroit, Mi before moving out here! Before teaching middle school I taught preschool (18 months and 4-5 years) for a year and a half. Before that I nannied for 4 years with two different families. One family had 5 children aged newborn to 14, and the other had three kids 2, 4 and 7. I come from a large family, four sisters and a brother, and have been looking after them and various cousins all my life. I have worked as a nanny for a few families when I was younger in providing care during date nights, etc. I am a trained lifeguard, with several years of swim lesson experience. I coached for a youth rowing club in Indianapolis and coached collegiate level rowing teams for 3 and a half years! I truly love working with kids, which is why I have become a teacher. I enjoy helping children learn as they play, and be active both inside and outside.
