About Michele

I am married and live in Havertown with my husband and two College aged Kids. I was a stay at home Mom until my children were in middle school. When my laws became very ill and needed help when they came home from the hospital, I stepped up to help my husband's family and quickly realized it was emotionally rewarding for me as I always enjoyed being around seniors. That is when my best friend asked if I could help be a companion for her father who was 88 and had short term memory loss. I started as a companion and worked for him 20 hours a week. I would do housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping and take him to his Dr appts and if time permitted I would take him to the local Senior Center for socialization. As time went on , his dementia progressed and I worked full time caring for him, bathing him and helping him with his toileting needs. I cared for him for 4 years until he passed away at 91 and have over 6 years experience working with several Seniors. I am CPR, First Aide Certified
