About Mikayla

I have been an animal lover my entire life! I always had a pet growing up, whether it was small like a fish, hamster, or cats and dogs (and saving the occasional squirrel, haha). My dog Cooper is my best friend and my shadow. He follows me everywhere, and don't know what I would do with out him! He is an Australian Shepard/Staffy mix. Unfortunately, with the cards he was dealt he has always been almost fully blind his entire life since he was a puppy. On top of it all, we found out he was diabetic a couple years ago and he just turned 6. I give him two insulin shots a day, on a strict diet and schedule and have to do blood tests often. I would feel comfortable administering medication since I have done it for years now. Other than that I love being outdoors and active, so walks are not an issue for me!
