Hello! One of the most fulfilling things I have done in my life was taking care of my grandma. At the time, I was a CNA. I lived with my grandma half the week so that she could remain in her lake home. My days were filled with tending to her. I made her meals, administered medication, bathed her, did laundry and kept the house tidy. Most importantly, I kept her comfortable and provided her company. She lived to be 98! In 2020, I resigned from Allina Health after 10yrs in administration, to help care for my father who has dementia. Currently, I am a substitute paraprofessional in the Mtka school district. I work with grade school children with special needs all the way up to 18+ year olds in the district's transition program designed to assist students in preparing for success in adult life.
