Monica is a special bonus grandparent for our family! As a first time mom new to the area with a 17 month old, I was nervous and overwhelmed about finding reliable, trustworthy and caring childcare. From the moment we met Monica, my daughter embraced her and we were able to breathe relief knowing she was in the best possible hands. Monica cared for our daughter several times per week for four months. In this time, she guided and supported us through naptime protests and sleep regressions, teething, mini toddler tantrums and big feelings, changes in appetite, weaning off milk and formula, using sippy cups, and two colds. Monica knows child development and has great instincts. She helped me prepare for next stages in my daughter’s growth. She gave us fun and creative ideas for play and fostering independence at home. I love her Montessori approach to daily routine and activity. We have been able to use her routine at home consistently and it’s been so helpful! Monica recorded my daughter taking her first steps, taught her to go down the slide at the park herself, wash her hands independently, and even helped her make friends by modeling and teaching play and social skills. In addition, Monica helped me feel sane and cared for as a parent. She is dependable, caring, kind, warm and truly an all around special person. Having Monica care for our little one and be a key part of our family has been a blessing. We are so grateful to her. We recommend Monica wholeheartedly!
