About Monica

Hello, My name is Monica, and I have extensive experience working with children and adults in various roles. I previously worked as a Behavioral Therapist in the Lafayette School District, assisting students in the Special Day Class (SDC), including non-verbal teens and those with complex behaviors. Currently, I provide respite care to teens and adults with ASD, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, and anxiety through Maxim. I also have experience nannying for families throughout the East Bay. I enjoy interacting with kids and building rapport through play, active listening, and observing nonverbal communication. I have strong relationships with parents, teachers, and colleagues. I hold a degree in Health Education with an emphasis in Public Health and am preparing to apply for master's programs to become a Speech Language Pathology Assistant.
