I currently work at Hildreth Elementary as a SPED assistant/ classroom assistant. I have been at Hildreth for 8 years and have worked at all grade levels, from preschool through to 5th grade. At school, I provide academic support to students in reading, writing, math and social studies. As a SPED assistant, I am comfortable supporting students with a variety of needs and skills. Patience, flexibility, and a sense of humor are important when working with students. We want to help them find out how they can best engage with the academic materials, and in the long term, become confident and capable learners.
