We met Nina for an in-person interview prior to hiring her for a regular job caring for our two boys. Nina was lovely; we all enjoyed meeting her. After paying for a background check, which came back clear, we agreed she would start the following week. I was interviewing several other caregivers at the time, so I canceled their interviews. The following week, after confirming she would start, she didn’t show up and was unresponsive to messages. Such unreliability is unacceptable.
