About Nora

I am pursuing my BFA at Maryland Institute College of Art and majoring in Photography. I also enjoy painting and drawing. I find that this comes in handy when watching children because I can easily come up with craft projects to pass the time. While at MICA I spent two of my summers as a Teaching assistant and resident counselor at MICAs pre-college program for high school students. I was also a Residential Advisor for a year and a half working with MICA's freshman and making sure they were getting the support they needed in the dorms in their first year of college. A couple summers ago I watched a 18-month-old girl once or twice a week, for three months, giving her parents some alone time to work. She had separation anxiety and would cry when taken away from her parents. I found that going out with her and giving her activities helped calm her down. I would take her to the playground and the nearby museum which she loved to run around in and explore.
