About Nora

I'm a fun-loving, flexible caregiver with multiple years of experience in a variety of child-oriented fields. I hold a B. S. in Child Development from Cal Poly SLO and a Masters in Teaching from UW. I have worked as a summer camp teacher, preschool teacher, kindergarten teacher, and 3rd grade teacher. I love getting to spend time exploring a child's interests and having fun. I am familiar with Montessori practices and love to help children become self-advocates and strong individuals. I am looking for a family to work with during the summer during my time off from teaching. I believe that open communication with parents is essential, especially when working as a team to support a child. I am also comfortable enforcing household rules and expectations, as I believe that consistency and structure are important for children's well-being. I am willing to help with cooking, pets, carpooling, and housekeeping. I am also flexible with my rate, as I know childcare can be expensive!
