About Penelope

I have extensive experience working with children of all ages across a broad range of activities and settings. Over the past 10 years or so, I've had the opportunity to babysit for a number of wonderful families. I have also worked as a swim instructor (3 years, children age 3-12) as well as a volunteer religion teacher (1 year, children age 7-8) and tutor for high school-level math and science (2 years). I am incredibly safety-oriented having been an EMT in Connecticut for several years as well as a certified lifeguard (2014-present). Currently, I am working towards a graduate degree in wildlife ecology at UW-Madison studying the effects of climate change on birds. My passion for ecology, environmental conservation, and wildlife leaks into everything I do-- including working with children! I love sharing my knowledge and passion with curious young minds.
