About Prescilla

Hello! I'm Prescilla -- though I go by my middle name, Deserae-- and I'm pleased to have the chance to teach your students how to fall in love with learning. I believe that learning is an adventure, and recently, I've been introducing my unique teaching style through tutoring. For me, learning begins with a novel and branches out into an array of subjects from there. As a believer in the classical approach to education, I am an explorer, assigning projects, outdoor/field trip assignments, and practical assessments as the main form of "testing." Written assessments, while necessary, are not given for grades but rather for practice and self-check, and language study is a must. It is important to me to nurture the whole-child; as a college consultant (and as a Christian), I care as much about my students' physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being as I do their academic success.
