About Rachel

I'd describe my personality as outgoing, creative, and attentive. I like tutoring because it allows me to connect with students in a meaningful way. I get excited to see progress, however small it may be. I'm looking for a job that allows me to be creative with activities and lessons. I started tutoring during the pandemic. I worked with a virtual company where I tutored students in China. We mostly worked on phonics and reading comprehension. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family. We love to do anything outdoors... hike, bike, swim, explore parks and playgrounds. I also really love to read! I enjoy cooking and baking new foods. One thing you should know about me is I have a ton of experience with students with disabilities. I have my masters in Autism and have been teaching for 13 years. My skills include improving reading skills such as phonics & comprehension. I am trained and very comfortable delivering phonics instruction.
