I discovered a passion for working with children that have special needs after becoming a nanny for two children with an extra need for help. I felt privileged to be their advocate and an amplifier of their voice in medical and educational settings. I truly enjoy taking initiative to learn all I can to help children, and my experience with special needs children increased both my knowledge and empathy. The special needs children in my care have a wide range of needs. I've been privileged to take care of them by working with therapists and doctors, meeting their daily needs, being there for them after surgery, and making sure fun happens every day.
