About Samantha

I am currently licensed as a teacher through the MN Department of Education. I am licensed to teach grades K-8th grade, with a strong focus in Mathematics and STEM subjects. I have worked as a long term substitute for a variety of different grade levels and school districts. I taught 5th grade in Roseville for 2 years and am currently teaching 4th-8th grade Gifted & Talented math in Stillwater (I teach 6th grade math to Pre-calc). I am familiar with many different curricula and teaching philosophies. I work to ensure that all students feel successful as students and have the opportunity to enjoy learning new things. I work to accommodate each student and provide them with instructional practices that best meet their learning needs and help them to learn how to comprehend school material through multiple modes of instruction. I hired Samantha to tutor my special needs daughter in math and reading. Samantha is fantastic - she built a great rapport with my daughter immediately and is able to get her to study while having fun. She is flexible with different learning needs and tailors her instruction based on what is going on in any given day. She is knowledgeable in the area of special needs and took the time to review my daughter's IEP to help her understand where my daughter was at and prepare for lessons. She is a terrific teacher and I now also have her tutoring my son. Super professional, prepared, class act. My kids love working with her!!
