About Samantha

Hi there! My name is Sam, a 23-year-old graduate from the University of Michigan and have recently relocated to Grasslake, MI. I love to cook, craft, garden and swim, and am currently volunteering with a local nonprofit (Jackson, MI) to develop and execute a youth-farm curriculum. I am available for stable, weekly childcare including meal preparation & cleanup, general cleaning, daily tasks and errands. I plan to obtain a masters degree in environmental education, and am eager to provide more than just care for your child, but opportunities for growth and learning outside of the classroom. My experience lesson-planning and teaching in formal and informal settings has prepared me for helping with homework in addition to following home-curriculums, or even helping develop curriculums that support social/academic/creative values. Creative play and time outdoors is a must, and I would be thrilled to lead your child/children on safe adventures around the house or at a local park!
