About Sarah

As a special education teacher in NYC, I have extensive experience tutoring and creating individualized lessons based on student needs and goals. I am a certified special education generalist allowing me to cover multiple subject areas. I am passionate about social skill instruction as well as fostering personal independence through self-awareness and self-advocacy. I have extensive experience with NYC test prep at the middle and high school level. I am a strong writer with a passion for history and English. As a special educator I have the unique ability to see each student for their strengths and capitalize on these strengths to help students grow. I am creative, energetic, possess a great sense of humor (very necessary in teaching!), and am above all patient.
