About Sarah

Hi! I'm Sarah! I am a former special educator with experience working with primarily children with disabilities all the way from preschool to high school. I am currently completing my PhD in special education, and miss actually working with kids! I am available for tutoring or babysitting for children with or without disabilities. My primary areas of expertise are literacy, mathematics, and social emotional learning. I like tutoring because it allows me to use the skills I developed as an educator and continue to work directly with kids in a more personalized format. In my spare time, I like to do puzzles, watch cartoons, and play with my dog, Gary. My skills include teaching phonics and mathematics using multi-sensory approaches, and teaching neurodiversity affirming social skills for autistic and neurodivergent individuals.
