About Sarah

Hello! My name is Sarah and I am a 26-year-old with a creative and nurturing spirit! I am currently getting my master's degree in mental health counseling and art therapy. I am patient and reliable, and bring an energy of compassion and encouragement in supporting kids to explore their emotions, ideas and curiosities. I love doing creative projects and crafts, baking and cooking, engaging in imaginative play, spending time in nature, and doing special outings when appropriate. I grew up in an in-home preschool and daycare that my mother ran, and spent many of my early years observing how to build a creative environment for children to learn and explore. I volunteered for two years supporting children on the autism spectrum through Families for Early Autism Treatment, spent two years facilitating creative projects with elementary school aged children, worked as a crisis counselor volunteer for LGBTQ+ youth, and have spent the last year working with adolescents as a group therapist.
