About Sarah

Where do I start? In high school, I led volunteer projects at the local blind school. The heartfelt experiences I had there led me to get my undergraduate, graduate certification, and graduate degree in education with an emphasis on kiddos with special needs. Within a few years, I went from working at a public school district to an internationally renowned private school, and then to a role within the state government as a consultant. I've worked with infants through 18-year-olds. My favorite thing about all of my jobs was seeing the children excel beyond the limited expectations many had placed on them. Admittedly, I left education because I felt like I wasn't able to serve children and their families due to public funding issues, among other things going on in the world today. I've decided to re-enter education because I truly miss those "aha!" moments that built such confidence in the kiddos I had the honor of teaching.
