About Sarah

I fell in love with kids with my first babysitting jobs as a young teen, and since then, my desire to make children my career has only deepened. I am working on my bachelor's in education (finishing up at ICC and transferring to Eureka this fall). In the past, I have served as the assistant director of a daycare, caring for kiddos ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. I eventually became the regular sitter for several of these families as well. My experience also includes volunteer work with underprivileged children through my church, three summers at a seasonal retreat center for juniors and teenagers, and tutoring up to a college level in several subjects. I am CPR, first-aid, and lifeguard trained. I have musical and dramatic training, and I greatly value the importance of reading and dramatic play in the lives of children. My hope is to find a position with a family with whom my skills and passion for children can best be utilized.
