About Selene

I'd describe my personality as critical thinker, well organized, and problem solver. I like caring for seniors because it's a population that does not always receive the best care. I love learning about their lives and the experience they have that bring great benefits to my career. I'm looking for a job that allows me to care for senior citizens needing help with medication management, wound cares and hospice services. I can provide lots of experience as a Level 1 trauma nurse. I started caring for seniors when I returned to college to earn my RN degree. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my teenage children, walking my dogs and finding great summer patios in the summer. I also enjoy reading suspense, mystery books. One thing you should know about me is I am patient with dementia type behavior, sun downing, and redirecting/reorienting patients that are confused. My skills include patience, active listening and deescalation of disruptive behaviors.
