About Shanice

I'd describe my personality as compassionate, patient and adaptable. I like working with kids because they remind me to always remain open. We learn a lot from kids, they can teach you where you need improvement. Allows me to be creative and also learn what kids gravitate towards. Working with kids can also let me know how a kid chooses to express themselves through different arts/ activities. I'm looking for a job that allows me opportunities for growth and development on a professional and personal level, has a work-life balance, effective and open communication with family. I started working with kids when I was in my field internship for my Bachelors in Social Work. I worked with children K-6 on a daily basis at a non profit organization in a school setting, that allowed me to plan activities and focus on socioemotional learning while also creating trustworthy connections with kids and family. My skills include safety awareness, effective communication, and empathy.
