About Shawne

Hi I'm Shawne. I am a retired teacher. I began helping with individual child care/nannying in the last few years. I have nannied an extended time for 2 families; both with infants. I worked with them from infants to toddlerhood. I have also been a fill in nanny for a baby for several months. Most of my nannying experience is with newborns and toddlers. I have wonderful sitter/nanny references listed (under the tutoring section on this site) and available for questions if needed. I have worked with young children since graduating from college. I taught school; preschool to 2nd grade and was a reading specialist for several years for kindergarten and first grade students. I have my own transportation. I do not smoke and I love animals. I have 3 pets of my own. I have college degrees in early childhood and elementary education with an additional certification in teaching reaching to Kindergarten and first grade students. I am certified in child first aid and infant CPR.
