About Sheila

I have nearly 30 years professional experience working with children and their families as a classrom teacher (in both public and private schools), private tutor, nanny/governess, babysitter, children's choir director, camp counselor and cook. I have enjoyed teaching all kinds of children, including those who were twins, recent immigrants, refugees, and those with special needs including hearing impairment, Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, etc. Additionally, I have experience as an adult ESL teacher, administrative assistant, executive secretary, book/copy editor, school cafeteria cook, and even soda jerk in an old-fashioned soda fountain! I love to travel, read, swim, sing, take walks, cook, and play games. I am a certified teacher for Pre-K to 7th grade General Education and ESL with an emphasis in English Grammmar. My Master's level coursework specializes in ADD/ADHD.
