About Shelby

I started working with seniors in my teens, when I would watch my grandmother during summer breaks, cooking, cleaning, yard work, medicine and doctor visits. As a young adult I volunteered with Compassionate Care Hospice and worked as a patient companion. I met some of the most amazing people and heard such interesting stories! I got to play Scrabble with a retired Scrabble Champion, and really learned how to sharpen my skills. In my experience, working with seniors has been really rewarding and they provide great friendship! I've taught multiple seniors how to use smart phones, how to use email, and other technology services. I know how intimidating it can be to learn new technology, and I approach each person with the patience and grace that they deserve. I am working full-time as a nanny but I like to pick up extra jobs on nights and weekends when I can. If you need a specific date that you don't see on my calendar, feel free to send me a message!
