About Sonia

I've been working with kids of ages 6-12 since 2022, and am fluent in Spanish and English. I am also CPR Certified, vaccinated and have a culinary background/experience as well. I am currently a student and work part time at an after school in Sunnyside. I'm looking for a job that has a flexible schedule as I am a student and have a part time. I also have vast culinary experience, as l am attending a school specialized for it. I have worked at popular restaurants such as Tacombi in Flat Iron, as well as HAAM vegan restaurant in Williamsburg. I know how to cook a variety of things, from rice to fried or traditional foods such as empanadas or arepas. My skills include my ability to establish a sense of comfortability with young children, use effective ways to get them to cooperate, and create interactive learning games. I can also tutor as it is something I regularly do at my afterschool job.
