About Sophia

I have worked as a freelance math and science tutor. I primarily work with high school AP physics and calculus students but have worked with middle and elementary school math and science as well. I took a break to focus on an internship with Tesla and as I approach going back to school I would like to resume tutoring. Notable accomplishments for my students include receiving a 5 on their AP physics exam, improving an ACT math score from a 22 to 30, and instruction to pass the 8th grade science STAR with a 98. I think it is very rewarding to use my intellectual strengths to assist in the understanding and confidence of an individual. I do not do students homework for them. My job as a tutor is to supplement learning. I will assist with homework in the form of breaking down similar problems to provide examples. I will explain and let you know mistakes that were made. However, it is against my personal code of ethics and my university's code of ethics for me to do work for your child.
